National Apprenticeships Week: Rhys Evans

National Apprenticeships Week: Rhys Evans

Rhys Evans joined Brightwake in September 2022 as an apprentice studying towards his Level 2 Electrical Installation qualification, having already completed Level 1 at Nottingham College.

Since joining Rhys has worked on an array of different domestic and commercial projects, recently helped install new heaters in the factory and will soon start working on panel and machine wiring.

Alongside this, Brightwake have supported him in gaining his IPAF License to enable him to drive the scissor lifts and fork tucks on site.

‘I knew that I wanted to do an apprenticeship after completing my Level 1 qualification, not only to get financial support but also so I can be learning and practicing everyday and get experience with different things. I have really enjoyed it so far, I get on well with the people I work with, I’m learning a lot, and Brightwake is local to me so it’s easy for me to get here’
